Who are Kathy & Casey?

Why are we running?
HOPE, STRENGTH, COURAGE, AWARENESS

Kathy And her Family
"Kathy Wilson, a mother of four children, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. She has undergone successfull surgery to remove the diseased area of her colon.  She has cancer in her liver that will require a lifetime of chemotherapy every two weeks.  She is a part-time bus driver for the Davis County School District and at present is unable to work.  She has served in various capacities for her church, mostly serving the youth.  Her husband, Kevin, is a school teacher in the Weber County School District.  They presently have two sons in college, a daughter serving a church mission, and a daughter that is a 9th grader."

"Casey is 35 years old and grew up in Morgan, UT.  He has been married to Angie for 7 years. They have a 4 year old boy named Max and a two year old girl named Tenley. On May 2, 2011 Casey was diagnosed with a Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma (cancerous brain tumor) that was removed on May 5, 2011 at the University of Utah hospital. A few weeks later Casey started a regiment of Chemotherapy and Radiation treatment for 6 weeks. After a brief break Casey began a maintenance dose of Chemotherapy for 1 year which ended in August 2012. Recently a new area of concern showed up on a MRI that concerned the Oncologist and his colleagues.  On March 7, 2013 a biopsy was taken of the area and it showed that the cancer had returned, so they proceeded with removing Caseys right hippocampus and right amygdala to stop the cancer from spreading any further.  There is a spot that they were not able to safely remove so Casey will start a different type of chemo to kick the cancer out."
